Low-ranking officer Savo lives as a recluse, reads classic literature and dreams of becoming an actor. One day he receives a telegram informing him of his mother’s death, along with an urgent message: “Don’t forget to bring that white suit I bought you. Your Brother, Viko”. Savo then embarks on an unforgettable railway journey into his own childhood, a farcical misadventure through a country beset by unrest, sharing a train with passengers who joke, philosophize, booze and fornicate. It would seem that this journey has no destination. But Savo doesn’t know what awaits him in his parental home… The White Suit had its world premiere at Cannes’s Critics’ Week section in 1999.
