Following the death of his son, Hannes Fuchs (Aleksandar Petrović) decides to radically change his life. He quits the band he plays drums for and becomes a teacher in a correctional facility for young offenders. He starts as an assistant to the teacher he is to replace: Elizabeth Berger (Maria Hofstätter), an older non-conformist keen on trying new things, whether it be with the prisoners or her own life. Far from simple to begin with, their work together is complicated by their differing opinions on their role and the needs of their juvenile delinquent students. Samira (Luna Jordan) stands out from the others, arrested for attacking her father, who ended up in a coma.
In this film, Iranian-born director Arman T. Riahi depicts a multicultural society, including characters from the Balkans and the Middle East, who without forewarning or survival strategies run up against invisible barriers. Hannes is a teacher, but also an observer, left to define the boundaries of rules and conventions on his own.
