The tragicomic story of Hana, a widow in her 60s who lives alone in her family villa. Her secluded life is punctuated by customary Sunday visits by her bickering relatives – her two adults sons and their families. Her tedious routine and monotonous concerns form a cycle that she only begins to break free from when she meets the unusual Broňa, who introduces her to his polar bear club mates and the quaint world of wintertime swimming. Hana gradually overcomes her fear of ice-cold water and plunges headlong into her newfound love for Broňa. Her sorties from her family villa become more and more frequent, with her grandson Ivánek as her unexpected ally, taking a liking not only to Broňa and his peculiar, original lifestyle, but also to their Vltava swimming community. As it turns out, each character is guarding a secret. A Czech/French/ Slovak coproduction from quirky Czech director Bohdan Sláma, starring popular Slovak actress Zuzana Kronerová as Hana.
