Young prosecutor Seyo Kim enters the fight against far-right violence in eastern Germany with the backing of the state behind her. But when she herself becomes the victim of a racist attack, she begins investigating on her own – despite resistance from her superiors and at the cost of her own safety. As she digs deeper, she uncovers links between a right-wing extremist network, long-unsolved cases, and a system that not only ignores violence, but at times actively protects it.
"The Prosecutor is still fresh in my memory — I was part of the jury that awarded the film the CICAE Prize in the Panorama section at this year’s Berlinale. This political thriller set in contemporary Germany offers a razor-sharp reflection on a deeply divided society. An absolute knockout from director Faraz Shariat and screenwriter Claudia Schaefer that keeps you on edge from beginning to end. Slovak premiere – a must-see." Lukáš Berberich
