Director Aimi Natsuto’s debut is an elegant effort with a breezy, summery tone, a lovely tribute to French cinema, New Wave or otherwise, as well as an original, delicate comedy full of absurd, everyday banalities.  

The film centres on three friends – Yui, Sayaku and Momoko – and one day in a small seaside town. The wait for an evening party turns into a series of strangely awkward encounters and revelations.
