15-year-old Laura is sassy, sprightly and headstrong. She longs to join a gang of traceurs. When she suddenly falls for one of them, Luky, she begins to lead a double life: a fantasy world where Luky is hers, and reality, where her attempts to get closer to him prove disastrous. When both worlds unexpectedly meet, Laura is forced to choose between them. “I admire the energy and directness with which teens plunge into life. I’m interested in the fragility and vulnerability that accompanies their searchings. […] This wasn’t easy, straightforward writing. It only began to pick up steam once we’d found an authentic community and environment for Laura, one that was imbued with the adrenaline typical of adolescence, the physicality and desire for free self-expression. What’s more, it is an environment with a great deal of romance and, naturally, relationships. We began to study urban parkour and free running more, realizing how brilliant young Czechs are at it,” says Petr Oukropec. In Your Dreams! had its world premiere at the 66th Berlinale in the competition section Generation 14+.
