A no-man's land in which a civil war is underway. Or rather, a festering wound, absolute chaos, in which massacres, robberies and rapes are constantly taking place. In this terrifying world, a stuttering Tamara searches for her son, who has been kidnapped by local bandits specializing in the human organ trade. There is no one to help her. Except “Steppenwolf”, a former policeman who has no respect for the difference between right and wrong. This monster, who kills without any remorse, is her only chance to save her son, and ironically, one of the few characters in this film who exhibits humanity.
Combining a variety of genres including road movie, western, samurai and mafia film, dystopian thriller and revenge drama, Yerzhanov delivers a unique parable about a world without morality. The film's brutality is so intense that it reaches the level of parody.
