The Notes from Eremocene experimental documentary premiered at the Berlinale 2023. In a sense, it’s the conclusion of the author's film trilogy partly shot in Antarctica (Frem (2019), White on White (2020), Notes from Eremocene (2023)). It is an impressively depicted visual-auditory meditation on the state of the world and its future, an intellectual essay full of attractive visual connections. It stands out for a specific formal structure and using film material in juxtaposition with the latest technologies. Film Expanded distribution company observe that it’s "a film from a future that does not yet exist". Viera Čákanyová explained that: "I wanted to create a film in which the main character was not a human being, because humanity is reaching the limit of its natural possibilities".
