The film explores the depiction of war in the territory of long-term peace. With mass events that serve primarily as necessary reminders of history but look more like bizarre celebrations of war, the film plays an imaginary game of telephone with the viewer, where the notion of war shifts with variations across generations. War as a permanent exhibit in the museum of our society. Territory of Imagination was made before the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops. As a result, it took on completely different meanings and became a critical report on the state of the Slovak army, accustomed to times of peace, and grasped the theme of war as a game divorced from reality. Territory of Imagination is the feature debut of director Paula Maľárová and the first feature film of producer Tereza Tokárová and CinePunkt.

Shortly after its world premiere at the prestigious Beldocs Documentary Film Festival, it will be premiered in Slovakia at the Art Film Fest.
