Asteroid City would be a completely uninteresting dot on the map if a meteorite hadn’t fallen there years ago and left a big hole. A quirky little town has sprung up nearby where exceptional young people and their parents meet regularly to compare strengths, have fun and make sure they’re not alone in their genius.

All participant are very unique in their own way and have come to the desert with enthusiasm and thirst for adventure. Such encounter would be enought to make Asteroid City worthy of increased attention. The city will make newspaper headlines around the world due to the “close encounter of the third kind” that will occur during the event. And before they can find out what actually happened, they have to remain there and unwittingly forge relationships of all kinds.
