Bamse, the world's strongest bear, and his best friends Little Hop and Shellman are on a mission to find Shellmans long-lost friend Beanka. She mysteriously disappeared during an excursion to the North Pole. Their new adventures include climbing a volcano and journey to the centre of the Earth. Bamse and the Volcano Island is the latest addition to a series of animated feature-length films about Bamse, who has been known in Sweden for generations (creator of the character and original comic: Rune Andréasson), made by director Christian Ryltenius (his film Bamse and the Thunderbell was screened at Art Film Fest in 2019). Each new Bamse’s adventure on the movie screen is an amazing experience for the whole family.
