During an informal hunt attended by politicians, an 18-year-old boy is killed when someone accidentally shoots him. Inspired by a well-known real-life case, the story of a hunting accident reveals the hidden machinery of political power and the efforts to maintain it. The film, in which the main protagonists are a high-ranking politician and an agent who is supposed to "clean up" everything, asks questions about the shape of truth in contemporary public life, about the possibilities of finding and hiding it, but also about the real identity of political figures and the stories behind their public masks. However, it does not aim at a social probe or a detective position. It is above all a metaphor for the story of the power an individual has and how he or she knows how to use it. The political thriller Power is the second feature film by filmmaker and producer Mátyás Prikler.
